I hope no one minds me posting about The Anipal Times here.  I just want to make sure you're all aware of this great community resource. 

Some of you know that I'm the Editor-in-Chief of The Anipal Times. We publish new content every day at www.AnipalTimes.com. We cover real animal news, anipal news and events, publish an anipal events calendar, advise columns, travel, sports, science, technology, gadgets, fashion, rescues, the Rainbow Bridge, have a classified section for announcements and wanted/for sale ads, comics and puzzles, movie and book reviews, AND every month we have a free drawing for a super cool prize!

This week @CheshireK began his in-depth series on Sled Dogs in the Northern Light, a controversial and sensitive subject in the height of racing season and in light of recent press coverage of the killing of 100 sled dogs in Whistler, Alaska last year. The first article is out now, and it's fascinating and balanced, with seasoned anipal reporter and AT Managing Editor Cheshire Kitten interviewing experts on both sides of the issue. 

We're all volunteers at the AT (40 of us around the world), and all of our advertising revenue goes to animal charities. Readers also drop a little something in our charity tip jar now and then. Our last charity was able to pay for a rescued blind dog to have surgery to restore her sight in one eye with our donations!
