More info on the contest!

So I know there have been some questions on the contest - here is some basic info for everyone.

First, it is open to everyone who is a member - be that a regular member, honorary member or friends of member.

As you already know (I hope), everyone's badge in the sidebar links to their blog. What I have done is create a virtual scavenger hunt where you have to answer questions, instead of finding objects like the real world. On February 1 I will post that list of questions - it is long, because we have a lot of members. So I am going to keep the contest open for an amount of time, I am thinking 2 weeks right now, and during that time people can submit their answers. After the contest I will look at all the submissions, and the winner will be the person who submits the most right answers first. So, for example, say on Feb 8 I get one with 15 right answers, then on Feb 9 I get one with 8, but then on Feb 12 I get one with 18 and on Feb 15 I also get one with 18, and on Feb 15 I get one with 20 right. The Feb 15 is outside the 2 week cutoff, so it can't win, so the Feb 12 with 18 right answers would win. That way you can't just submit any answers earliest - they have to be correct too. I have still got to test them out to be sure they are not too ambiguous (I have tried really hard to make them simple answers, where you don't think "well, does she mean this or this"). I will be posting at 12:01 Central Standard Time, and I think the cutoff will be 11:59 pm on February 14. If anyone thinks I should give it more then two weeks please let me know, because I am fine with that.

And, as a reminder, the prize is a fabulous NKC mug along with some other kitty toys - but since we now have an honorary doggie member, I have decided that it will be either kitty or doggie toys, based on who wins!

Finally I am thinking of setting up a special email account just for the contest, and I will be sure to include that on the scavenger hunt so you can have it handy. Plus that way they will come in order, and not get mixed in with my regular email, so no one's entry gets lost! I may do the post so that it has a nice way to print the questions out - I just have to find a good way to do that.
