Contest Info and New Badges!

Hi Everyone, Barney here!

I just wanted to answer a question I saw in the comments about the contest - yes, the contest is open to anyone who is a member, honorary member or friends of the nkc member. I also saw the comment that we should sell the mugs, which I may set up to do at some point, with the proceeds being donated to kitties who need help with vet bills, or to a shelter or something. I may need to set up a separate account to do that (mommy made it through her House of Cats account right now). Also, if you asked about joining but haven't sent a picture, I will still consider you eligible, but please send a picture for a badge.

Speaking of badges, the other thing is that mommy finished the badges for everyone who has sent in pictures. If you have asked about joining but not sent in pictures I really need to get those from you so I cam make a badge! And be sure that if you want to be a "friend of" or "honorary member" that you pick that in the drop down on the form! You can attach pictures to the form itself or submit the form and then I will email to ask for the picture. I know there were a lot of people interested who haven't sent in pics, so if you haven't gotten a badge but wanted to join, that means I never got one from you. And if you let me know before 1/1/10, I still consider you a Charter Member. And again, the only difference between that and a standard "member" badge is that you joined in the first month, everything else is the same.

Also, I just wanted to let everyone know that mommy gets them done as fast as possible but she is just very busy so it can take a little while. Her plan is to try and make them on Tuesdays because those seem to be the least busy right now.

Oh, and if you have a badge but didn't get the contributor invite email let me know because either I missed sending it or it was sent and didn't get to you because of a mistype on my part.
